Playing catch up.. again..
I feel really bad that I started this blog but that i’ve been doing a bad job keeping up with daily postings… I feel like I never have enough time in the day between school, work, the boyfriend, my nephew, etc. I have been sticking to no meat, i’ve actually amazed myself that I have stayed away from meat for so long. One thing I noticed, and I hope this isn’t TMI, but a day before and a few days after my menstrual cycle started I was craving a cheeseburger hardcore. It was really odd.. I chalked it up to my body wanting iron. I tried to remember to take a pic at every meal but some meals I forgot to. I’ve been incredibly scatter brain the past 2 weeks. Yay for school!
Soo.. here we go.

Breakfast: Does a liquid breakfast count? Apparently, I was not wanting any food.
Lunch: Kashi spicy black bean enchillada; not too bad from what I remember.
Dinner: My boyfriend was jealous that I had a tofu stir fry without him so I made it when I visited him one night. He cooked the tofu perfectly.

Breakfast: Open face egg sandwich with grapefruit.
Lunch: Bbq tofu sandwich with a mango black bean concoction. I wish I saved the recipe. It wasn’t bad but it had interesting flavors since it had all spice.
Dinner: Pasta with alfredo sauce and broccoli.

Breakfast: Apparently, the Lebanese in me came out this day. I was craving za’atar which is a Middle Eastern spice mix (oregano, thyme, sumac, sesame seeds) with olive oil.
Lunch: Black bean quesadilla with potatoes.
Dinner: 15 bean soup and fried cauliflower. I wasn’t fond of the spice pack that came with the 15 bean soup. It was salty and had too much oregano. Next time i’ll make my own spice mix.

Breakfast: Tofu egg scramble with apples and banana pancakes. I’ve noticed i’ve ate banana pancakes a lot but it’s soo good.
Lunch: No picture because we were at the beach. It was a wrap with a morningstar chicken patty, broccoli slaw and Cesar dressing.
Dinner: Pizza and mozzarella wedges at our favorite pizza place. Not healthy but so friggin good.

Breakfast: Watermelon (what a pathetic breakfast)
Lunch: Cheese tortellini with squash
Dinner: Zucchini pancakes and a vegetable pie.

Breakfast: English muffin with cream cheese and grapes.
Lunch: Morningstar griller with mustard and broccoli slaw
Dinner: My mom made a dish with meat so I just took the rice she made and mixed it with eggs and broccoli with a sweet and sour sauce. I think this dish sums up that I need to go grocery shopping, badly.

Breakfast: Vanilla yogurt with granola and strawberries.
Lunch: Pasta with asparagus
Dinner: Morningstar chicken patty with mixed vegetables.

Breakfast: Cheerios minus the grapefruit and bananas.
Lunch: Quesadilla with pasta sauce, lowfat cheese and zuchinni.
Dinner: My sister was making turkey burgers so I opted for a morningstar griller and I snuck in some french fries.

And finally…
Breakfast: Belgium waffle (sad that I discovered the cottage cheese had expired) and 1 egg.
Lunch: Greek salad.
Dinner: Lentils with a salad and a simple lemon and olive oil dressing.
So.. that’s pretty much it. You know, I definitely suggest that people should take pictures of what they eat for at least a week. I sometimes think I did well but I noticed I have a problem with dressings/sauces. I really didn’t think I put that much ketchup. Yet, it’s clear I go crazy with ketchup and bbq sauce. Also, my breakfast for the most part is okay but some days it’s not filling at all. I knew I wasn’t much of a breakfast person but wow.
Also, All of my lunches are frozen products. They look like, excuse my language, shit. I am way too lazy during my work days to actually prepare a lunch before work. I really need to get out of this habit. I hope you guys can learn from my pictures that even when you think you’re eating good, sometimes it’s not as good as you think.
It’s amazing what you learn from taking pictures of your meals.
